Friends of the Farm is a new way for businesses to support Stonebridge. We are inviting like-minded local organisations to join our Nurture Network and help sustain our shared community space.
As a local business, you may already be aware of the work that we do here at Stonebridge. You may even have joined us for a Community Impact Day. Thank you!
Visitor numbers are now at record levels. We welcome around 1,200 schoolchildren each year and thousands of visitors from the wider community. This shows how valued the farm is, but it also means our costs are rising sharply, from animal care and feed to staffing, maintenance and utilities.
We support a volunteer community of around 160 people, many of whom face additional barriers, alongside young people taking early steps into work and adult life. This requires consistent staff presence, supervision and care.
By joining our Nurture Network, your business can play a practical role in sustaining free access to the farm, supporting our volunteers, and helping us care properly for the animals and land. It is a simple, ongoing way to invest in a shared community space that thousands of local families rely on.
It costs around £1,400 a day to keep Stonebridge running, and trading income alone does not cover this. We invite businesses to support the Nurture Network with £50 a month (or £600 per year), with the option to give more if you are able.
Your support helps sustain free access to the farm, fund the staff support our volunteers rely on, and ensure the animals and land are properly cared for.
Your business’s regular monthly donation helps us plan projects across the year and provides vital stability, particularly through the tougher winter months when income is lowest and costs remain high.
We are seeking longer-term relationships with local businesses, working in partnership to ensure the farm remains here for future communities, not just for the season ahead.
As part of the Nurture Network, we offer participating businesses opportunities for team volunteering (15 places per year), recognition on our website, and invitations for staff to join Friends Day events and offers through the year.
