At Stonebridge City Farm we are proud of the sustained links we have made with local organisations based around Nottingham. We've had visits from a variety of organisations over the years and are always happy to welcome new groups.
Our Team Volunteer Days are very popular with small and large organisations alike. These volunteer days enable us to tackle important site development and maintenance work around the farm. They provide you and your team an opportunity to work together outside in a non-typical work environment, alongside our staff and volunteers. It will give you and your team the opportunity to help with the upkeep of the farm and a HUGE contribution to our charity.
Projects may vary according to weather or season but include – maintenance, building animals shelters, painting and various gardening tasks.
You will be supervised by a member of our staff, briefed on Health and Safety and will be able to purchase snacks and drinks. Feel free to come and have a look around the farm to get an idea of what you will be doing before you book.
If you and your company are looking for something a bit different for your team building days then feel free to get in touch.
Contact barbara@stonebridgecityfarm.com to organise your visit.

DownloadHillarys been doing a lot of fundraising for the farm recently, including a plant sale at their offices. We brought loads of plants and flowers from our own gardens! They were able to present us with a cheque for over £7,000! They will be joining us on the farm very soon and we will be sure to show them our gratitude by making them work hard here on the farm!
The Nottingham Building Society has supported us for a number of years and has been given variety of tasks on their team volunteer days.
This time they were asked to clean up the duck paddock, which is no easy feat when George the goose is loose! They did a cracking job and the ducks, geese and chickens are very happy with their tidy paddock!
SKY TV (MDU) brought their 23 engineers to spend a Team Volunteer Day with Stonebridge City Farm. There was so many of them we weren't sure if we would find jobs for them all, but don't worry, we did! They really enjoyed taking time out of their busy individual schedules to spend time working together.
“All of the SKY Engineers work outside anyway but don’t get to interact with each other so it was a perfect day to bond altogether”.
“Unity, spending time together in person rather than spending it talking on the phone”
It was a bit of a miserable day when Pets at Home visited the farm but it certainly didn't dampen their spirits! They were set to work outside with a bit of maintenance, finally replacing our tired looking bunting. A lot of the Pets at Home team had never met in person so this was an excellent opportunity for them to finally meet.
"It was a brilliant day, we all really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for accommodating us, it was very clear to us all how much amazing work you all do at the farm. What a great place and what brilliant and passionate colleagues you have there!"
The guys from Experian really got stuck in! They were put to work straight away helping us replace some mats in our play area and also treated our outside wall to a fresh lick of paint.
Here's what they had to say about their experience:
“We loved doing something completely different”
“We enjoyed finishing an actual project which often doesn’t happen at work!”
“Lovely to be working with our team in a different environment”
“Amazing food, especially the Jerk Chicken”
Cartwright King headed straight to our garden to get their hands dirty. Different departments all worked together to help spruce up some of our beds.
“We had a wonderful day with people from all different departments that we don’t usually get to spend time with”
The sunshine certainly helped Tank Pr get on with their work. They helped us with some digging in our play area, a spot of light weeding and gave the fences a bit of attention before we put the new piglets in there!
Here's what they had to say about their day at the farm:
"I had a brilliant time. It was great getting away from the screen and out doing some manual labour (especially since the weather was great). It was a really good day and I loved meeting everyone there (and the animals)!"
"Stonebridge was a rewarding experience and a fun way to strengthen relationships with my co-workers."
I had a great day at Stonebridge, finding out more about the farm and their work. It's a really important cause and I'll definitely be heading back to see the pig pen in action!!
Rusty Monkey have written a lovely piece about their day volunteering at the Farm. Follow the link below and take a look for yourself.
