We just wanted to tell you what an amazing week it’s been.
Firstly, it has been great seeing all of you on Facebook, sharing your experiences of lockdown and some of the activities you have been up to. Once again, thank you to all volunteers who have taken part in the video workshops for Mental Health Awareness Week. It was such a sight to see volunteers meeting each other online for the first time due to not volunteering at the farm on the same days!
The farm and animals are doing well! The barnies managed to prepare some lovely ice lollies with loads of delicious fruits inside – which the animals really enjoyed. Don’t forget, it’s very important to keep your pets hydrated at home also, keep giving them plenty of water to drink.
On the farm we are continuing to grow produce - lettuce, kale, spinach and chard. Due to the size of the old, damaged polytunnel, it took all day to dismatle, but finally we got there with great efforts all round. The new one is due to go up but we will update you all when it does and hopefully we can show you some pictures.
In the café, we’ve been continuing to prepare meals to send out to the community. Through the combined efforts of the team we have successfully been able to feed many people throughout Nottingham.
Stay well and stay safe.
