I hope you are all keeping well.
This week has been another eventful one here at the farm with loads happening!
Allanah and Josh have been pulling their hair out with all of the vegetable donations for the animals. It took the barnies nearly a full day to sort out all of the vegetables - but I tell you what - the animals sure loved their efforts. Thanks again to all those who have donated vegetation to us throughout this busy period. This has really helped with running cost for the animals – we a thoroughly grateful.
Furthermore, Nancy (the goat) is soon to give birth. Now it is a matter of when she will pop. Marie has taken a guess that she will have 3 kids, Allanah has guessed at 2 and Reiss has guessed at 4! Time shall tell 😊
Ryan has managed to create a very appealing shop stand at the main entrance for the public to purchase honey, jams, animal food and vegetation that we have grown throughout lockdown. Keith the bee keeper brought in 100 units of honey this week and with it being hayfever season, they have flown off the shelf.
Finally, it was really nice seeing the volunteers that came onto the farm on Thursday for the catch-up day. It has been so long since we have seen many of your bright faces. We cannot imagine how hard it has been for many of you during lockdown and our hearts have been with you. However, one thing is for sure, we stand strong as a community, we stay strongly united and we cannot wait until things get back to normal.
