Last week marked the national celebration of Volunteer’s Week, where charities, companies and organisations pay their many thanks to the efforts made by volunteers. You all give your efforts towards our cause and for this we are forever grateful. For those of you who missed the video that Reiss posted at the start of the week, we want to remind you of how special each and everyone of you are. You really do bring the farm to life and give us all a purpose here at the farm.
With last week being the half-term, and having being blessed with glorious weather, we were busy to say the least! We have been the busiest we have been since reopening the farm since lockdown. To add to the excitement, last Wednesday we hosted sheep shearing at the farm for the public as the sheep were well due a good hair cut!
With this in mind, this week we have decided to share a lot of information about sheep shearing and the stages it goes through before being turn into materials that we can use. You will also find some fun activities to get involved with. So, be sure to check these out.
Finally, last week we sent out a volunteer’s voices questionnaire to get some feedback from you about your experiences at the farm. We are seeking to capture some of the reasons why the farm means so much for you. If you get the chance be sure to fill this in and send it back to us. 😊
Other than the above, we hope you are all keeping well throughout this difficult time. Please stay in touch on our volunteer Facebook page. If you have not yet joined the volunteer Facebook page then please contact Reiss@stonebridgecityfarm.com and he will walk you through how to join.
WE LOVE YOUR PHOTOS - we’ve had some great ones your activities – food, plants, music, etc. Please keep them coming to Ryan@stonebridgecityfarm.com
